Nipple Clamps

There are four common types of nipple clamps:

• Tweezer clamps — Resemble tweezers with an adjustable ring. Gentle and suitable for beginners because you can easily control the pressure
• Screw clamps — Feature a screw mechanism for very precise pressure adjustment. Offer more control than tweezer clamps
• Alligator clamps — Spring-loaded clamps with toothed or smooth tips. Provide a firmer grip and are suited to experienced users
• Weighted clamps — Clamps with dangling weights that add a downward pulling sensation. The combination of pressure and pull creates a more intense experience

Some clamps are connected by a chain, which allows for additional play through gentle tugging.

Wear nipple clamps for no more than 15 to 20 minutes per session. The clamps restrict blood flow to the nipple, and wearing them too long can lead to numbness or tissue damage.

Check your nipples regularly while wearing them. If they turn blue, white, or numb, remove the clamps immediately. Beginners should start with sessions of 5 to 10 minutes and gradually increase the duration.

When you remove nipple clamps, blood rushes back into the nipple all at once. This sudden return of circulation causes an intense, sharp sensation that is stronger than the initial application.

This effect is normal and is a desired part of the experience for many BDSM practitioners. You can reduce the intensity by releasing the clamps slowly and gradually rather than removing them all at once. Gently massage the nipples afterwards to restore circulation.

Clean nipple clamps after every use with warm water and mild soap or a toy cleaner. Dry them thoroughly to prevent rust, especially with metal clamps.

Regularly inspect the screw or spring mechanism for wear. If the clamp no longer closes properly or the pressure is no longer adjustable, replace it. Store metal clamps in a dry place, preferably separate from other toys to prevent scratches.
